Overview

Fairway is a golf handicap tracker. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Fairway you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address and the first and last name you provide when signing up.
  • Golf data you enter: the rounds you log (courses, tees, scores, dates), your handicap goal, and your favourite/recent courses.
  • Feedback: any messages you send us through the in-app feedback form.
  • Basic technical data: standard information such as app version and error logs needed to keep the app running reliably.

How we use your information

  • To provide the service — store your rounds, calculate your handicap index, and sync your data across your devices.
  • To operate and improve Fairway, diagnose problems, and respond to your feedback.
  • To power AI Coach (a Fairway Pro feature): when you request AI coaching insights, a summary of your golf statistics (your handicap index, scoring differentials, trends and goal) is sent to our AI provider to generate a personalised coaching note. We do not send your name or email for this, and the AI provider does not use your data to train its models.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored using Supabase (our hosting and database provider) on servers in the EU. Access is restricted so that you can only read and write your own data.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run the app: Supabase (hosting and database), and Anthropic (the AI provider that powers AI Coach — see “How we use your information”). If you subscribe to Fairway Pro, payments are handled by the Apple App Store, Google Play, and our billing provider — we never receive your card details.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Edit profile → Delete account. This cannot be undone.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your information from within the app. For any other requests, contact us at support@fairwayhandicap.app.

Children

Fairway is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
